English course

Hhh.. it's hard, when knowing that you're broke, but you need something costly immediately to improve your knowledge. 😂

Last blog, I said that i will tell you another course that I really want to take but it's expensive, and now I already took it, and paid it with credit card.. wkwwkwkk..

The price is Rp2,5m for 90 sessions in 3 months. 1 session is just 30 minutes, but I dont know, I think it's worth the price. It forces me to speak, and somehow that's better than just sitting in the class and listening to the teacher.

If you want to join this course, you need to download the cakap app, and buy the course package. The more sessions you buy, the less price you pay for one session. For example, I bought 3 months package (90 sessions) for Rp2,5m, if I buy 6 months package (180 sessions), they could give me price Rp4,2m. So the price for 1 session in longer time is cheaper which is Rp23k (compared to the price i got Rp28k). But if you only take very short course (2 sessions class) it will cost you Rp99,5k per session, that's very expensive. Next, after buying the package, you can book your class and choose the time. You can also choose your teacher. When the time begin, you have to open up the application and click "enter class". You should use your headphone to have a better conversation with the teacher. You're not allowed to be late. Once you are late, your study duration will be cut off. For your information, most teachers are from Philippines, that is good because they can't speak bahasa at all, so you need to speak full english. Some of them are native speaker (from us or uk), but I never tried their classes, maybe later.

Today is my second class. My teacher's name is alpha, from Philippines. She has taught me twice. What I like about this course is the teacher can fix our grammar, pronunciation, or the word directly when we're talking. Alpha is good, but today she didn't give me more chances to speak and ended up talking about her self 😂. I have booked another teacher for tomorrow. I wish she's better or at least as good as alpha. I'm gonna share to you later about the course progress. I wish I won't miss the class.

English Course

Several weeks ago, there were some "disturbing" pop-ups advertisements from an english institution. They offered ielts course with "not too expensive" cost, compared to other ielts courses in Jakarta. They are so clever, providing something that I need, based on what I search on internet in current time.

Then, I registered to this course with my sister. I took intensive Ielts course that only focusing on speaking and writing. Frankly, when I think about it, it wasn't really cheap, because we only had 3 exams (pre, mid, and post), 2 meetings for speaking program, and 6 meetings for writing program. All meetings are held in saturday and sunday. 1 meeting is about 4 hours. That's a quite short course, right? But I'm satisfied with the course. I got another ielts course last year that costs about Rp5m (my office paid for that), so more or less I knew what ielts is. Then I took official ielts test in Sept 2018, and the result was horrible. I only got 5 on speaking and 6 on writing. Both listening and reading were 6.5. Damn. 😑 That's why I took this course.

It might be short, but I can assure you that it is worth. For speaking program, I was taught by native speaker who gave me very useful advices to improve my speaking. He was truly honest by saying that I need huge effort to speak fluently. Sadly it was only 2 sessions ☹️.

In my next journal, I'll tell you about another speaking course that I really want to take. I wish I do. But it's a hard decision because of its price.. 😭 haha.. poor me..

Colecting memories

Hi, I'm dian. This is the first blog, after very long time, I finally have will to write something. Looking back to several years ago, when I was still a senior high school student in 2004-2007, and then got a job in 2012. Jakarta, the city that I never expected, that I could stay here for a long time. Thank God, You has set my life perfectly.

I wanna tell you a story. When I was in senior high school, my real life wasn't really special for me. And just like the average teen agers, chatting online with stranger was kinda fun and entertaining. Almost everyday I went to internet cafe just for having online chatting. Sometimes in mirc, mig33, yahoo messenger, gtalk, etc.

I dont remember when I talked to my husband for the first time. He said he knows me when I was still in senior high school and we got random chatting for a while. I know it won't be long because he wasn't my type 🙃. Then we lost contact.

Ah, what I tell you next are just my random thoughts. I wanna keep my memories, so I will share anything that I can remember. Not anything, but something that precious to keep in memory.

In 2007, I started my life in university. Actually, I regret of my self. I should've studied harder, met more friends, and joined organizations, but I didn't. That's why I wasn't popular. I'm also not pretty, anyways.. so, life just flew like it should. Remember my husband? I chatted him again after years. I didn't remember how I met him online again, but he came when I was still with my ex.

Let me make it brief. I graduated from university in December 2011 and got a job in 2012. I think 2012 was my lucky year. I couldn't imagine I was the one and only person that passed for this job in central and east Indonesia area. Well, maybe I was overwhelmed. But just to show you, how happy I was that day. The gratefulness remains forever, but sadness and happiness come and go shaking my life like a roller coaster 🤯.

Since I got this job, I had to move to Jakarta, I thought it was maybe just for a while, until they announced where I'd be placed. And let's say it is my fate, I stayed in Jakarta as they decided to keep me in central office.  I was a rube, felt so happy hearing that I would stay in Jakarta for some years ahead. Having a boy friend here (I have met my husband, and yeah be in relationship), I knew I would be ok. My first job desk was amazing, it could make me stress out, yet having so many experiences. Thanks to all my first bosses in central office who taught me well.

Traveling around Indonesia, knowing many important people, and speaking in public meeting are some advantages of my former job, but I had to ready for many deadlines, overtime works, and also tasks that made me sick.

I love to be a part of that, and somehow I miss it, but if you ask me whether I wanna be back or not, I surely say I don't 🙂.

In March 3rd 2018, finally we tied the knot. We didn't have too much time for preparation. It was only 2,5 months. Thanks a bunch for my sisters. Without her, I could be stressed out. Anyway, maybe for some people, getting married was a very emotional event, but not for me. I just wanted these all ceremonies to be over soon. I wasn't really comfortable as the center of attention. But yeah, thank god, I was happy. Finally we are an album. We're not a single anymore.. haha.. kidding..

S'pore (2015 & 2017), Hongkong (2015), Macau (2015), Philippines (2015), Malaysia (2016), Thailand (2016), Holland (2018), Belgium (2018), and France (2018). Alhamdulillah, God is good. I had a chance to step on those countries. And that makes me really wanna go back to europe as a master's student. Wish me luck.
